The Estate is a 22-acre enclave, improbably located right in the center of Yountville, California, just steps from Thomas Keller’s legendary restaurant, The French Laundry. Its self-declared aim is to “redesign the Wine Country experience.” In addition to the newly redone Vintage House hotel (80 rooms) and Hotel Villagio (112 guest rooms and 22 suites), The Villa at The Estate is a lavish, 6,600-square-foot, five-bedroom home, with its own kitchen, private outdoor pool and a hot tub.
V Marketplace offers art galleries, a wine-tasting cellar and Napa Valley’s original hot air balloon company, all housed within and around the historic, 137-year-old Groezinger Winery complex. Celebrity chef Michael Chiarello, proprietor of Napa’s Chiarello Vineyards and host of the Food Network’s “Easy Entertaining,” oversees three restaurants, including Bottega, where menus showcase “micro-regional Italian cuisine, with dishes drawn from every region of the country.”
