Its landscape comprises expanses of tundra, taiga (coniferous forest), deserts and steppes. Over the past decade, Siberia and the Arctic Circle have opened up to ecotourism and hunting expeditions, while the dramatic Kamchatka Peninsula offers exceptional fly-fishing.
