This contemporary hilltop retreat is located at 6,500 feet in the Al Hajar Mountains, where fields of damask roses bloom from March to May. The 86 suites and villas, furnished with rich fabrics, copper ornaments and handmade pottery from Bahla, feature private balconies, working desks and baths with freestanding tubs and separate rainfall showers. Dining options include the all-day Juniper Restaurant serving Arabic cuisine with Mediterranean inflections and the Rose Lounge for cocktails and light fare. The hotel also encompasses a spectacular outdoor infinity pool, an indoor heated plunge pool, a spa with seven treatment rooms, a fitness area and a library.
