Scale of 90-100
Tranquil 14-villa resort occupying a private and secluded 25-acre plot in a patch of rainforest outside the town of Puerto Iguazú. Common areas include a low-slung main lodge with a spectacular open-plan space, a multilevel outdoor deck facing a wall of green and a dining room serving seasonal dishes inspired by local ingredients from the surrounding province of Misiones. Set on a steep hillside, each secluded villa is separated from its nearest neighbor by at least 50 yards of vegetation and comes with a dedicated guide and vehicle. Most of the air-conditioned rooms have white wooden walls decorated with colorful framed drawings of tropical plants and birds, private decks with plunge pools and high tented ceilings. The atmosphere is very similar to that of an upscale African safari lodge. Guests have access to a private entrance to Iguazú Falls; no spa, gym or full-size swimming pool.

Spacious, tranquil and well-appointed villas; excellent seasonal and regional cuisine; the superlative guides and resort staff.
Although the resort has a secluded rainforest location, the nearby town of Puerto Iguazú is scruffy and unappealing.
