Located on a quiet street in Dunmore Town on Harbour Island, this 11-room hideaway comprises a secluded walled compound where two stone 200-year-old buildings and two cottages overlook a central swimming pool and a sunken tiki bar. The guest accommodations come with plantation shutters, rattan furniture, shell-encrusted mirrors and floral pillows. Queen-bedded rooms are small and best avoided. Located on the second floor, “Colebrook” and “Dunmore” are spacious and share a terrace with views of the bay. There is no formal restaurant, but breakfast is served and dinner is available on request. Activities include horseback riding, scuba diving and full- or half-day guided bonefishing excursions. The island’s famous pink sand beach is five minutes away by golf cart. The property, ideal for a large private group of family or friends, is frequently rented for exclusive use.
Dunmore, $900 (all house wines and spirits, and airport transfers included; minimum stay may apply).
