This chic boutique resort atop a small rocky promontory is bordered by the pristine white sands of Baie de St-Jean. Due to heavy structural damage caused by recent hurricanes, the property will remain closed until the end of 2019. Upon reopening, three new suites with breathtaking sea views will debut, as well as the colonial-style Rémy Bar. Of the 34 lodgings, the most atmospheric rooms have always been on the Rock. The glamorous Garbo Suite, featuring a large wraparound porch, a spacious mosaic bath and a grand circular bedroom, is especially spectacular. The hotel has two panoramic seaside restaurants, both under the direction of chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, an art gallery and a spa. PADI scuba courses, deep-sea fishing expeditions and boating excursions can also be arranged.
Note: Eden Rock is closed renovations until November 20, 2019.
Lowest Rate: Eden Room, $1,450; Editor’s choice: Rock Room, $1,800 (minimum stay may apply).
