This exceptionally congenial 12-room hideaway in a 1910 art nouveau mansion is set within a brick-walled garden in the city’s quiet Lärkstaden district. Decorated by British interior designer Ilse Crawford with marvelous attention to detail, bright rooms include features such as herringbone oak parquet floors, crystal chandeliers, leather sofas and woodburning ceramic stoves. Most suites are augmented by private balconies and separate sitting areas. A glass conservatory off the open kitchen is a homey spot to read and relax, and a terrace with chaises is an ideal alternative for lounging in fine weather. Lunch and dinner are served in the kitchen, more formally in the candlelit library or in the greenhouse. The property also has a massage room, a Swedish sauna and a hot-stone slab.
