Fairlawns Boutique Hotel & Spa
Scale of 90-100
This distinguished neoclassical villa, converted to a hotel in 1997, is surrounded by tranquil, parklike grounds that sweep down to a lovely swimming pool. Most of the 42 individually decorated, European-style guest suites come with large windows, high corniced ceilings, working fireplaces, tall doors, furnished balconies and marble baths with heated floors. A two-bedroom stand-alone villa featuring a secluded garden, a full kitchen and a private pool is also available. Public spaces in a two-story wing include a library and a stylish restaurant with an outdoor dining terrace serving an international menu. There is also a casual all-day bistro and a Champagne bar by Perrier-Jouët, plus tea and piano lounges and an evocative Balinese garden spa. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive.
