Four Seasons Punta Mita

Editor Rating
Scale of 90-100

This seaside resort on a scenic 1,500-acre peninsula with two pretty private beaches is 50 minutes north of the Puerto Vallarta airport. A dozen casitas contain 177 guest quarters, most sporting a clean, contemporary design, plus furnished terraces providing memorable views of the sea. Common areas include the new Dos Catrinas restaurant for contemporary Mexican food, the indoor-outdoor Aramara restaurant with a Nuevo Latino-Asian menu and informal cafés adjacent to both a cabana-edged infinity pool and a separate adult pool complex. A seafood-oriented beachfront Latin grill is also available for dining. The property also encompasses two magnificent Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses, a health-fitness spa, a lazy river that loops around the family-friendly Oasis complex and 10 tennis courts, and reef snorkeling outings, deep-sea fishing charters, scuba diving lessons and whale watching tours aboard the resort’s private boat can be arranged.
