The Goring

Editor Rating
Scale of 90-100

Located a stone’s throw from Buckingham Palace in Westminster, this small hotel has been run by the same family for four generations. The hotel’s classic English atmosphere is complemented by outstanding personal service, and its 69 individually decorated guest rooms and suites feature a traditional country house décor. Chef Richard Galli’s elegant Michelin-starred Dining Room, designed by David Linley, the Queen’s nephew, serves fine British cuisine that employs ingredients sourced from suppliers across the British Isles. New seafood-oriented Siren, under the direction of Nathan Outlaw, showcases the best of Cornish ingredients. Plans to transform The Goring Bar & Lounge into a bright, lively space will be overseen by British designer Russell Sage. There is also a fitness room, but the crown jewel of the hotel is its glorious garden, one of the largest private gardens in London.
