The Inn at Newport Ranch
Scale of 90-100
Distinctive property on 2,000 acres of stunning coastal land, 10 miles north of Fort Bragg. The handsome main building strongly reflects the heritage of the area’s redwood lumber history, with massive 30-inch planks used in the flooring of the impressive living-dining room. Adding to the atmosphere are high-beamed ceilings with carefully set lights, a 20-foot stone walk-in fireplace and a row of windows that look out to the Pacific. Three rooms on the inn’s upper level have access to a large sundeck and outdoor whirlpool. Three spacious suites in adjacent Redwood House offer the same distinctive décor, as well as full kitchens and decks; also four-bedroom Sea Drum House. Hiking, horseback riding and ATV safaris along the coast and back into the redwood forest and hills overlooking the sea. No children under age 14.
