Exceptional seaside hideaway on a verdant hilltop estate with a river running through it on the wild Cap Corse peninsula. The 29 minimalist accommodations featuring unobstructed views of the Mediterranean are elegantly appointed in a palette of varying white and beige colors, copper accents and wicker furnishings. The magnificent Maquis Mascaracce Suite includes a private garden with a swimming pool and terrace. Tra di Noi restaurant, overseen by chef Clément Collet, serves seafood-oriented cuisine with Latin American inflections; also the casual beachside A Spartera for lunch and dinner (open mid-June to mid-September). Amenities include a spa tucked amid an olive grove with a sauna, Turkish bath, gym and a pink swimming pool. An array of well-organized activities are offered, including hiking, scuba diving and snorkeling, fishing and canyoning; half-day and full-day horseback riding and boating excursions can also be arranged.

The beautiful décor that references the Aegean and the Balearic islands; the breakfast omelet filled with brocciu (soft ewe’s milk cheese), wild mint and country ham is a don’t-miss dish.
Service in the gastronomic restaurant was slow and imprecise.
Good to Know
The shoreline of the beach is often covered with a carpet of seaweed, a common phenomenon on Cap Corse. The hotel leaves it in place because it’s part of the local ecosystem; it’s soft to walk on and has no smell.
