Skirted by a spectacular 2-mile deserted white-sand beach, this delightfully informal resort is set on an 800-acre private island. The 14 shoreline lodgings offer alcove living areas, indoor-outdoor showers, overhead fans and screened porches. All rooms lack phones and TVs, and only some units come with air-conditioning. For more privacy, request one of the two Luxury Beachfront Cottages. The property encompasses a cocktail lounge, a casual grill and a small freshwater pool. Spa treatments and yoga classes can be arranged. Outdoor activities include calm ocean swimming, sailing, biking, fishing, windsurfing, snorkeling and tennis. The property is closed August through October, and children under the age of 12 are permitted only during designated periods.
