This 55-room hotel is set in a restored red-brick warehouse along the C&O Canal. An attractive lobby leads to a private reception area with high ceilings, original artwork, tall bookcases and a two-story onyx fireplace. Guest rooms feature a contemporary décor with wood floors and furnishings, light-toned walls and tall windows with city or canal views. Rooms in the east and north of the hotel have the best views and should be specifically requested. The six Thomas Pheasant-designed townhouses are augmented by well-equipped kitchens, spacious living areas, washer-dryers and enclosed patios. CUT steakhouse, helmed by Wolfgang Puck, comprises a lobby bar and a dining room with a contemporary design. The property also encompasses a compact fitness center and a rooftop lounge with an indoor-outdoor infinity pool and a seasonal bar serving rare whiskies and light snacks.
