This opulent and stylish 63-room hotel is located in a central but secluded setting behind the Kunsthistorisches Museum and just a short walk from the MuseumsQuartier art complex. Bright Junior Suites, the smallest room category recommended, combine various design elements into a surprisingly cohesive whole with furnishings such as velvet chaises, Hoffmann-inspired adjustable armchairs, wingback headboards, baroque-style console tables and oversize crystal chandeliers crowning spacious composite quartz-tile baths. Common spaces include a fine Secessionist-style dining room serving a nicely presented breakfast buffet and, resembling a tiny version of Versailles’ Hall of Mirrors, the delightful jewel box Le Bar offering an enticing selection of Champagne by the glass. There is also a luxurious wellness center with a gym and a long lap pool.
