This recently refreshed refuge occupies a peninsula between a protected bay and a long, unspoiled Atlantic beach. The lavishly restored landmark hotel offers 32 generally small but distinctively appointed guest quarters, plus four cottage suites. Public areas include an inviting library-lounge. TOPPER’S offers seasonally inspired, seafood-oriented New England cuisine backed by an excellent wine list. Bike rentals are complimentary and cooking classes, sea cruises, seasonal oyster tours, surfcasting outings and wellness treatments at a nearby spa can be arranged. Hourly shuttle service to/from town is offered. From the mainland, Nantucket is reached from Hyannis by car ferry (2½ hours). Air service is also available from major cities. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted, and the hotel is closed from November to mid-April.
